Decoy Sonoma County Chardonnay 2018
|Region||California, Sonoma County|
This deliciously bright and inviting Chardonnay offers layers of apricot, citrus and green apple, as well as hints of fresh honeysuckle and cinnamon. On the palate, the lovely pure fruit flavors are underscored by delicate acidity and a supple richness from sur lie aging.
This is an appealing wine that comes at a great value. Crisp acidity keeps it balanced against a backdrop of richer brioche, toffee and vanilla-cream elements.
Please Note: The Vineyard is not responsible for wine that arrives damaged due to heat or cold.
Donati Immigrant 2012Dark, dense fruit, layered with hints of oak and spice. Complex with a long finish.
Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc 2019Pale lemon with a green hue and a bright clarity. Lifted passionfruit, grapefruit, gooseberry, and peach fruit flavours, with complexing hints of jalapeno, nettle, boxwood and blackcurrant leaf. A full flavoured, medium bodied wine, with an abundance of regionally typical blackcurrant and gooseberry flavours that linger on the dry, clean finish. This wine is a perfect accompaniment to summer salads, poultry and shellfish, such as Marlborough's famous green-shell mussels. Also try it with lobster and white fish.
Westerly Pinot Noir 2012Deep ruby-purple colored, the 2012 Westerly Pinot Noir displays subtle aromas of ripe raspberries and crushed red cherries with underlying notes of violets, lavender, and cinnamon stick. Medium-bodied, it is very well-balanced with crisp acid, a low to medium level of fine-grained tannins and satisfying berry and spice flavor layers that linger long into the finish. Drink now through 2020.
