Chateau de Beauregard Pouilly Fuisse 2016
|Region||France, Burgundy, Maconnais|
|Brand||Chateau de Beauregard|
(Burrier puts this wine together from 15 hectares of wines, "like a Bordeaux blend," and declassifies some of it into a négociant label; the crop level was below 40 hectoliters per hectare in 2016, the lowest since 2003): Full yellow with a gold tinge. Very ripe aromas of stone fruits, truffle, smoke, nuts, spicy oak and flinty minerality. Rich, ripe stone and tropical fruit flavors are not quite as opulent as those of the 2015 bottling but deliver lovely silky texture and attractive framing acidity (3.9 grams per liter). Finishes smooth and persistent. There are 80,000 bottles of this juice.
