Tamarack Firehouse Red 2015
Ranked the #2 Red Wine in our February 9, 2019 "Big Taste" of The Vineyard Wine Tasting Event.
Deceptively sweet aromas of strawberries, raspberries and rose petals. The flavors are dark, rich, lusciously mouthwatering, with cherries, boysenberries, tart plum skins, hints of leather, sweet pipe tobacco, and coffee beans. The tannins are firm, but not a bit edgy and the finish lingers with just a touch of anise. A truly lovely vintage.

Wine AdvocateThe 2015 Firehouse Red is a kitchen sink blend of 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 17% Syrah and 14% Cabernet Franc, with the balance Counoise, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, Grenache and Mourvèdre. I always love this little gem, and it delivers tons of sweet red and black fruit in 2015. Medium-bodied, supple, rounded and mouth-filling, buy a few bottles and drink it over the coming couple of years.
Wine SpectatorAn easygoing red, with a lively structure and appealing blackberry, espresso and spice flavors. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Counoise, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2022. 15,000 cases made.

Aromas of blue fruit, char, plum, herb, confection and spice are followed by easy-drinking plum flavors, with a slightly clipped finish. It's a pleasant easy drinker.
