Quinta Da Raza Dom Diogo Alvarinho 2017
|Brand||Quinta Da Raza|
Wine AdvocateThe 2017 Alvarinho Dom Diogo comes in at 13% alcohol. It is dry, although not austere, and had no added carbonation. Tasted just about 60 days after bottling, this showed rather well. Round and fuller bodied than most of its siblings, it is filled with flavor and pure fruit essence. The mid-palate depth is just average, but the rest is done very nicely. This is a pretty respectable Minho Alvarinho, probably my favorite of the Raza submissions this issue, albeit by a tiny margin. There were 1,000 cases produced from 15-year-old vines.
