Pamela's Unoaked Signature Chardonnay 2014
Ranked the #2 White, Sparkling & Rosé Wine in our June 24, 2017 "Big Taste" of The Vineyard Wine Tasting Event.
Fermented in 100% stainless steel, Sonoma County Un-Oaked Chardonnay is the classic everyday Chardonnay. This well-balanced wine offers bold notes of lemon curd and ripe apple with a lingering hint of honeydew melon. The fruit-forward and refreshing flavors of this Un-Oaked Chardonnay are an excellent complement to a variety of seafood, such as oysters and sole. Pamela's Un-Oaked Chardonnay was created by Ron Rubin for his wife. When Ron purchased his vineyard and winery in Sonoma County, California, he achieved his forty-year dream. With a vineyard that was known for its Chardonnay, he knew that he would have to work closely with his winemaker, in order to please his wife. Pamela prefers white wines that aren't necessarily Chardonnays. She loves light, crisp, and very food friendly wines. So, Ron asked his winemaker Joe Freeman to collaborate on a style that he knew Pamela would love.
Wine AdvocateScented of ripe apples, melons and pears with a honeyed hint, the medium-bodied 2014 Chardonnay Pamela's Un-Oaked offers a good mouthful of uncomplicated flavors with just enough freshness to balance.
