Pago de Vallegarcia Hipperia Red Blend 2013
Ranked the #10 Red Wine at our March 25, 2017 "Big Taste" of The Vineyard Wine Tasting Event.
From elegant cherry colour, good aromatic intensity where notes of mineral and balsamic, thyme and rosemary, excels along with red fruits, and a background of fine notes of wood. Silky entry in palate, round, structured, again fruity and balsamic notes and ending with a subtle toasted that induces to drink. It is a very long and persistent wine.

Wine AdvocateI also tasted the 2013 Hipperia, a blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc, 18% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot that matured in new French oak barriques for one year. The nose shows herbal aromas, notes of blackberries and a very faint note of leather, licorice and fountain pen ink. It has a similar character to the Petit Hipperia from the same vintage. The palate is dry, medium-bodied with some rusticity, dusty tannins and a tasty finish. 26,913 bottles produced.
