The Federalist Honest Red Blend 2014
Our #7 Red Wine from our May 21, 2016 "Big Taste" of The Vineyard Wine Tasting Event.
Different blocks were fermented separately to preserve ideal characteristics of each. Each block spends an average of 18 days on the skins.
Wine Enthusiast"Editors' Choice" Full bodied and stuffed with fresh fruit flavors, this dry wine made from grapes from three North Coast California counties smells and tastes like dark grape juice and ripe black cherries. The texture is lively but smooth, and the wine has a light tangy quality to balance its richness.
Wine SpectatorSimple, with a lingering sweetness trying to add polish to the modest, slightly bitter cherry and herb flavors. Merlot, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2020. 4,000 cases made.
