Brancott Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2018
|Region||New Zealand, Marlborough|
Our #10 White, Sparkling & Sweet Wine from our May 21, 2016 "Big Taste" of The Vineyard Wine Tasting Event.
Pale straw in colour with green highlights, this Sauvignon Blanc presents a beautiful ripe fruit character reminiscent of citrus blossom and tropical fruit with crisp nettle highlights. Almost pungent in its intensity, it displays a spectrum of full fruit flavours from ripe tropical fruit to lush pink grapefruit. A well-balanced wine with the palate weight, sweet fruit flavours and the crisp acidity usually associated with this style. Enjoy with grilled oysters, barbecued prawns or salmon, and poached white fish with fresh green salads containing parsley, pepper or lemon. Mediterranean and Turkish dishes with hummus, olives and feta will also match well.
The lemon-lime flavors are fresh, with touches of fennel and green tea lingering on the crisp finish. Drink now. 199,000 cases imported.
This reductive Sauvignon is sweaty and feline, with buttery, vegetal, grassy and citrusy aromas. The palate is oddly spritzy, with sharp acidity, a creamy texture and a sour finish.
