"Cash for Clinkers" at The Vineyard
Bottle Recycling/Stimulus Program..."Your Empty Wine & Spirits Bottles are Worth $1 Here"**
The Vineyard currently is running the "Cash for Clinkers" wine and spirits bottle recycling program through September 23, 2009.
**The rules of The Vineyard's wine & liquor bottle redemption promotion:
- For every clean, empty wine and spirits bottle returned to The Vineyard, a $1 credit toward the purchase of one bottle of wine or spirits will be issued.
- Multiple credits cannot be combined. One credit is good towards the purchase of one bottle.
- The promotion is valid only at The Vineyard in North Andover, MA.
- Consumers may redeem any number of bottles (limit 12 per visit) during the length of the promotion.
- Empty wine and liquor bottles may be any brand from any store. The Vineyard will accept any size wine bottle for recycling.
- Wine bottle redemption credits cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotions from The Vineyard.
- Bottle redemption credits can only be used toward the purchase of regular sized, 750 ml or larger bottles. This offer is limited to in stock items only.
- The wine bottle redemption promotion ends September 23, 2009 at 8:00 PM.
- The Vineyard reserves the right to cancel this promotion at any time or refuse to serve anyone for any reason.
History of The Vineyard's Bottle Recycling Promotion:
The Vineyard started the wine bottle-recycling program back in 2005. At the time people thought we were crazy to give customers a $1 credit for each empty wine bottle they brought in for recycling. We just wanted to do something to help the earth and also raise awareness about recycling. In August 2009, The Vineyard expanded the promotion to include empty spirits bottles.
Since the program's inception, The Vineyard has recycled over 10,000 wine bottles; saved several tons of landfill and helped people save a few bucks on their wine purchases in the process. Of course there are other incremental benefits when wine bottles are recycled, like energy savings and a reduced carbon footprint. However, we won't bore you with the details. Just start saving your wine bottles and wait for our announcement of our next bottle redemption program.
The Vineyard runs this program twice a year for two months at a time. Usually we do it for two months prior to Earth Day and two months prior to Labor Day.
