Smith Woodhouse
The deep opaque purple colour of this wine is due to the very low production of the old vines used in the blend from Quinta da Madalena and Vale Coelho. The 2007 Vintage is nominated by lovely spicy rock rose aromas. Full rich, powerful cassis flavours on the palate, combine perfectly with a sweet, rich liquorice and fruit finish. This powerful and complex Vintage Port has a huge potential for ageing. Smith Woodhouse 2007 Vintage Port is a fabulous way to end a lunch or dinner. It pairs wonderfully with chocolate desserts, such as chocolate mousse, but it can also be enjoyed on its own, providing a memorable moment in the company of good friends.
Wine Enthusiast
As often happens, this lesser brand from the Symington Family Estates stable has produced an impressive vintage. It is structured, while also attractive, lively and fresh. There is a light layer of sweetness, the fruit bold and black, finishing with a fine, juicy aftertaste.

Wine Advocate
The purple/black-colored 2007 Smith Woodhouse Vintage Port exhibits an alluring bouquet of mineral, pencil lead, espresso, violets, black currant, and fruitcake. Dense and structured on the palate, it has an excellent integration of alcohol, acidity, and tannin. It should be one of the longer lived wines of the vintage with 12-15+ years of aging potential and a drinking window extending through 2037.

Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
